I'm not sure there's anything quite as satisfying for a designer as seeing one's work plastered around the city in the form of posters, banners, and billboards. Blockbuster exhibitions take an unfathomable amount of planning and effort on the part of everyone involved but the results are always thrilling. I was lucky enough to design the face of several blockbusters during my time as head designer at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, but Warhol: Larger than Life and Marilyn Monroe: Life as a Legend were my pride and joy.
